THE PROBLEM

In developing nations, economic growth needs to be decoupled from environmental degradation. ECO incentivizes sustainable entrepreneurs in order to reduce inequality and save the planet.

⊙

FIND LOANS

We rigorously research and select loans based on a variety of factors including default rate, risk rating, and loan term. Our loans have a 99.7% repayment rate, making our platform a viable generator of long-term impact.

☼

CREATE IMPACT

We place our loans through our micro-lending partners, who serve as a link between us and the projects we're funding. Our donations are loaned to green projects throughout the world in a variety of sectors, including farming, agriculture, and housing. When the entrepreneurs completing the projects generate revenue through their work, they pay ECO back and therefore allow us to repeat the cycle.

⊛

TOKENIZE

We intend to tokenize these loans on the blockchain, making them tradable as NFTs, complete with impact statistics and data. As our nonprofit evolves, we will look to transition to a tokenized model in order to further decentralize our organization, raise awareness for the cause, and empower sustainable entrepreneurs.

QUESTIONS

‣
Why is this important?

Per the United Nations: "Achieving human well-being and eradicating poverty for all of the Earth’s people—expected to number eight and a half billion by 2030—is still possible, but only if there is a fundamental—and urgent—change in the relationship between people and nature. [Hitting sustainable goals] fundamentally requires decoupling economic growth from environmental degradation, while at the same time, reducing social and gender inequalities in wealth, income and access to opportunities." We believe that ECO presents a viable solution to incentivize sustainable entrepreneurship and solve these global issues.

‣
Where do donations go?

Your donations are held in our nonprofit's bank account, then 100% are lent out through our micro-lending partners to fund select sustainable entrepreneurs. When the loan is repaid, we re-lend the money.

‣
How is the organization structured?

We are a subsidiary of the CORE Foundation, a 501c(3) nonprofit organization. We are audited annually.

‣
Who are ECO's partners?

We partner with organizations that directly interact with entrepreneurs on the ground, such as Kiva, Zidisha, and Grameen Foundation. We have received grants to further our cause from Ernst & Young and Alphabet Inc.

Notes & details
  • We're using the quote block to create the fixed navbar instead of an ID, so it should work out of the box, but that means you can't really use the Notion quote block anywhere else throughout this template. Thinking of better ways to go about this!
  • DONATE
  • The navbar & footer are global Notion blocks, meaning if you edit the ones on the template home page, it'll carry the changes over to the rest of the site
