Abigil, aged 39, is a resident of Rugando, a village in the Mbarara district of Uganda. She dropped out of school after senior four and got married at the age of 16 years, because her parents could not manage school fees any more.
She started banana farming with her husband for survival and also to care for their children. This business eventually grew and helped them to sustain their family and support education for her young sisters. Through ECO, Abigil will buy organic fertilizers for her banana plantation in order to increase her production.
